Help is needed with several aspects of the exhibit to ensure that each artist and patron receives positive interaction from our volunteers and has a memorable time on our campus. Here are some ways YOU can be part of the excitement!

• Greet and assist artists at receiving stations as entries are delivered on April 4
• Host the artist information tables on April 4
• Distribute artwork to specific locations for judging (date tba)
• Construct displays for exhibit and storage units prior to April 4
• Prepare artist packets prior to exhibit on April 17
• Track sales/receipts/ticketing, etc. at exhibit on April 17 - May 1 (specific times to be announced)
• Assist with Patron Reception before the exhibit on April 16

Artist Demo Day

Click here to register for the Artists Demo Day, Sunday, February 22 at 5:00 p.m. Demo Day will be held at First Baptist Church, corner of 7th and Broadway. We encourage all those considering entry to attend this live demo and interpretation of the Passages.

In addition, artists will be given the option to accept commissions based on their work during the show on the same consignment basis through a designated member of the Arts Festival Committee.

Certain works will be given the option to remain on the website and available for e-commerce purchase for an undetermined number of months.

Purchase Awards

The Jurors and a representative of the FBC Arts Festival will select four works, one from each passage in the Professional Division, to receive Purchase Awards in the amount of $1000.

They will also select four works, one from each passage in the Amateur and Youth Division, to receive Awards in the amount of $250.

Generally, works will be accepted on paper, canvas, and fabric, as well as photography, stained glass, and sculpture.

Crafts including jewelry, kits, copies, or prints will not be accepted.

Work accepted into the arts festival must be appropriately framed and ready for wall mounting and must not exceed 48″ in any direction.

Glazing for works must be Plexiglass only.

Sculpture footprint cannot be more than 24″ x 36″ or weigh more than 50 lbs.

All Tennessee artists are invited to explore the visual and spiritual richness of the theme “Forgiven” (Hebrews 8:12) through the creation of new and original works of art in their preferred style and medium (see Eligibility).

 People’s Choice Award Winner - “Tree in the Fog” by Jim Jennings

Don’t forget to invite friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to the upcoming FBC Arts Festival. You won’t want to miss the artists’ works on our theme of Forgiven, based primarily on the biblical passage of Hebrews 8:12. Professional and amateur artists from across Middle Tennessee will share their vision on the theme’s passages: God Is a Forgiving God, Lessons Jesus Taught about Forgiveness, The Cost of Forgiveness, and Living Forgiven.

The festival will run for an extended period this year, from Friday, April 17, through Sunday, April 26. The festival is free to the public.

On Sunday, April 19, we will host our very good friend, musician, recording artist and composer Ken Medema in our morning worship service. During the service, Ken will share his gift of music with us. He will listen to the winning artists as they are interviewed about their piece and will compose a song based on each artist’s vision. You won’t want to miss this extraordinary worship time. A Juried Art Exhibition and Sale

This will be a Juried show. The Jurors will select at least the top 5 works from each of the four themes and those will be featured on this website (as well as receive cash prizes and 75% of the sale price of their work.)
